Ben Stokes trial
Jurors have been asked by the judge if they follow England cricket (if so, presumably they will not be jurors). All the same, I don't see Stokes being convicted despite the video evidence.

This happened in the early hours didn't it?

He should have opted for a night watchman.

Re: Ben Stokes trial
Having seen the video evdence it'squite clear that he totally went over the top . If he gets off he will get off because he is Ben Stokes

Re: Ben Stokes trial
I thought it was reported he originally beat them up as he was defending some gays? Now being reported he was insulting some gays?

On The Ball 3:55 Mon Aug 6
Re: Ben Stokes trial
That's what the bloke he beat up is saying. Word at the time was that he was defending them.

If it's him that's been homophobic then I'd say he'll be in some bother - defending them was his saving grace.

Re: Ben Stokes trial
From Skys TWITTER, it suggests he was defending a guy who had been groped by a noofter outside the club, or have I got that wrong?

Looking forward to Norman Scott giving evidence.
And the bloke that shot the dog

I HAVE got the right case haven’t I ?

Re: Ben Stokes trial
I misread the BBC thing - I think it's a bouncer who says that he was taking the piss out of the gay blokes.

Oh dear.

Re: Ben Stokes trial
Bouncers are notoriously reliable witnesses and have never been known to lie.

Taking the piss out of the gay blokes?

Verbally or LITERALLY?

Clearly wasn’t trying to bowl a maiden over that night

Re: Ben Stokes trial
My understanding was that he was trying to "protect" a couple of Gays from bullying , but the fact is he totally lost control in attacking them

twoleftfeet 4:49 Mon Aug 6
Re: Ben Stokes trial
He DID NOT attack the gays.

He attacked the other 2 guys who threatened him with a bottle and a metal pole.

Re: Ben Stokes trial
Struggling to see where he's wrong here. Informs bouncer that his gold teeth make him look like a cunt. Correct. Beats up man who attacks him with bottle. Correct. Beats up man who attacks him with metal pole. Correct.

If that is addressed to me, i meant he attacked the guys who where bullying the Gays . The fact is though that he went way over the top in his actions. For what it's worth i think he will get a suspended sentance

Re: Ben Stokes trial
Offered the bouncer £300 to let him in after closing time
